Regency Corset

Has a curved front to support the bust in a natural position. Laces in the back or sides. The center front is held in a straight line with a long non-separating busk that separates the bust while holding the stomach in. Corsets are usually lightly boned and heavily corded and/or quilted. Straps are close to modern bra straps in location on the shoulder. The waist is high, usually right under the bust, and straight in the front and back. Sometimes the corset ended at the waist, but most often it extends down to cover the stomach and hips to smooth them into a gentle curve.
